Everything liberals accuse the right of doing has been done by them: collusion with Russians, mob behavior, lack of civility, being dictatorial, lying, etc. The list is endless. This is can also happen on a personal level with liberal friends. Here is my story.
I went to my liberal friend for a couple of drinks and to chat on a Friday night. Another liberal friend of his dropped in. Conversation naturally turned to Trump. Over the course of discussing Trump voices were getting louder and I was finding it hard to speak with two voices shouting me down. Then my friend stood up and I started to stand up when he came toward me, jumped on top of me with his hands around my throat and screaming "YOU ARE OUT OF CONTROL!!!" I finally wrestled him off and circled around the room shouting at him, "You're a F****** moron!" And then he screamed "Get out you TRUMPSTER!!!" and starts to cry a bit (maybe realizing he lost a friend). I shrugged and left.
But what struck me was that he had to come across the room to shut me down from saying anything because in his mind "I was out of control." The fact was that he lost control of the argument and then felt he lost control of the situation to the point where he had to physically act. This is projection on a person level.
I'm curious if anybody has a similar story they would like to share.

I lost my lifelong best friend. He is an ordained (far leftist) minister. I used to serve in the church.
I had put up with his leftist rants for decades. I finally had had enough. He could not stand any serious pushback.
It got ugly (in a restaurant for lunch), but nowhere near your tragedy. Nevertheless, that was the end of a nearly thirty-year friendship.

I think there is good in people, but definitely bad as well. It depends on how far gone you are down a path. Things can definitely twist you up if you go down the socialist path.
You’re right. He could have but, but believe it or not, I think he was trying to phone the cops. It ended fairly quick but you are right that could have happened.
I will put up something, but I can’t imagine why people would think I’m a troll? Is it because I had a liberal friend... whose not my friend anymore? But I’ll take your advice. Thanks to you and Chode!
You’re right. I think Lindsay Graham gave a heated, impassioned and much needed response to the Dems (who were suppose to be his friends). So did Mitch McConnell. Hopefully, the Dems haven’t totally lost their minds, though they’ll try to play every rotten trick in the book. I think much of this was a test to see how successful they could be with these despicable antics and tricks... and maybe... just maybe they’ll learn something. Too bad they didn’t learn anything when Trump was first elected.

I have close relatives who have essentially divorced themselves from me solely because of my beliefs - political and social issues.
And I never even discussed issues with them, they just “knew” I was Evil because I was a conservative.
Liberalism ie commiepukedom is not just a mental illness, it’s akin to being criminally insane, unless they seek a cure. I was raised hardcore leftist but I sought the truth at an early age. After decades it’s too late for most people.
For mushy sentimental Democrats/liberals who actually believe that the Dem party/liberalism means equal justice and all the lying propaganda, they may change once they see the bloody totalitarian reality.

Yeah, I don’t think he will pray though at times he wanted to talk religion and says he believes in God. But his God has more to do with numerology, singularity and the Book of El Rancho (or something like that). It’s a west coast thing, I think.
