Not an addict. Just a user. It’s a useful tool. Yes I’m not the customer. Much like I’ve never been the customer for any radio or television program I’ve ever watched in my life.
Our lives have been charted for a long long time. If you use credit cards you’re charted by the store and the card company. If you use coupons you’re charted by the distributor and the store. Loyalty card. Checks. We’ve been in a post privacy world for over 2 decades, nice that you finally noticed.
You are literally cattle yourself. Logged onto the internet, google analytics is tracking your every move. You said you didn’t understand why people use it I told you why.
You’re addicted to ranting and self aggrandizement. Also self delusion if you think you’re any less tracked that anybody else. The difference is I know EXACTLY what the tools I use in modern world do, and have been doing for TWENTY YEARS. You’re pretending you know something about FB while ignoring the HUNDREDS of other ways YOU are tracked. You’re a guy with a little bit of knowledge thinking you know it all. But you’re actually living in denial, not just the longest river in Africa.
I’m a right wing conservative who will die for you and your freedoms without question. I am a producer - someone who works for a living and makes just barely enough to get by. I am not out to squelch your viewpoints or censor what you have to say.
Facebook is a multi bbbbbillion dollar company who has actively squelched the voices of the American Patriot, the freedom lovers and those who would die for liberty, justice and freedom.
You are defending the latter from the former. Think about that for a bit.
You’re an addict. That up there defines what you are supporting and who you are fighting. Given the subject of Facebook’s efforts this almost qualifies as treason.
