DETROIT As far as one minister is concerned, it's Maxine Waters Forever!
When Bishop Charles H. Ellis III of Greater Grace Temple assured Rep. Maxine Waters at the Aretha Franklin funeral that "We got your back!" he was repaid in full with the hands fisted, arms crossed "Wakanda Forever!" salute from the California congresswoman.
The moment Friday came during a pause in the program at the Queen of Soul's homegoing, when Ellis recognized Waters in the audience and acknowledged how she has come under fire, apparently referring to President Trump's Twitter attacks on the Democrat....

Dare i ask what the hell is a wakanda?? Our supposedly prominent blacks sure are class acts huh???
it’s pretty sad when Aretha can’t be buried in peace without Maxine and Ellis interjecting politics into the funeral
Wakanda
Another word for Chicago.
In reality, there never was and isn’t anything even remotely like Wakanda. It is pure fantasy. For most blacks, and the pols that purport to represent them (but really don’t, any more than Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton actually represent their brethren - they represent THEMSELVES), the cold, cruel reality is that their culture is incredibly disfunctional. Oh, sure, you get 20% or 25% that break out and become truly middle class or even upper middle class (and good for them - I want to see more of that, I WANT American blacks to be fully integrated into this country and its traditional morality and politics), but the majority don’t. It is viewed as “acting white” to get good grades, to speak English instead of Blinglish, to wait until getting married to have children, etc. Until and unless blacks as a whole (i.e. at least 90%) start acting in a way that is conducive to their best interests in the long term, then the present situation will continue and even get worse. Wakanda will, unless things change, always be a fantasy. The sad part is that the blacks have the knowledge and skills, as a community, to seriously improve their lot...but it doesn’t happen because of people like Maxine Waters, Jackson, Sharpton and the rest of the race-hustlers who counsel their brethren to be victims. The waste of human potential, and the resultant increase in frustration and misery, is among the biggest crimes in history.
There’s a Wakonda area in Des Moines, including the Wakonda Country Club on the nicer part of the South Side.
I don't know. Some folks believe anything on a screen is real. They should rename Liberia to Wakanda and see if they can get the exodus that never quite finished in 1878 to liven back up.
I like where you’re headed, go on....
Does Maxine understand that Wakanda is not a real country?!?
What a ridiculous freak show of a funeral service!!!!
Next: Yet ANOTHER freak show tomorrow for McCain, and then he needs to take a long quiet dirt nap.
Which funeral will last longer?
That’s not a terrible idea.
Wellstone remembrances. No respect for Ms. Franklin. Disgusting.
I bet Aretha wishes she could have a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T at her own funeral, rather than than having it turn into another Wellstone Funeral.
And we will be having another idiotic Wellstone Funeral with McCain.
I could never be a Democrat. Id be too embarrassed to tell anyone.
There you go - using your brain again. To leftists EVERYTHING is a political rally.
It’s a fantasy fictional country in Africa from a comic book where everything is wonderful and so much better than any white country in history.
Anyone want to take a guess on the neighborhood around Grace Temple? Thank Maxie for the “progress”
You're right. If insane Maxine wanted to “keep it real”, she would have used a salute mimicking throwing a burning tire around someone’s neck (Soweto), or cannibalizing someone (Uganda), or some other suitable salute from a real, live Dark Continent country like the Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, etc.
You know, a standard sub saharan African outhouse country.
There is supposed to be no such thing as bad publicity. That probably applies even in death. This should help increase sales of her music, which will benefit the lawyers fighting over the estate with no will. Expect this circus to go on for a while . At least it’s not Cooper Anderson joining over Michael jackson.
I believe you are serious and that my friend is troubling!! These people really are delusional
