Lots of people die of cancer who are far more worth mourning than McCain.
The man deserves no honor for the the he said and did as a politician which were treasonous towards this country.
I will eat well tonight and pay tribute to McCain in the morning with a strong cup of coffee.
This admonition would probably be wasted on most of the posters on Free Republic, if recent sampling is any guide.
Lord knows, it is going to be plenty hard to make that straddle.
what is this with obama and others saying mcCain was for putting the greater good above his own (or similar) mccain let AZ and the senate go without a vote on things for 8 months - how is that for the greater good and serving the country well?
At least Trump’s comment was more believable - sympathy without all the fakery, sweet words.
I’ll offer my condoleezas as well as soon as I can get his thumb out of my eye.
The Arizona senator repeatedly made clear that he saw Trump and his America First ideology as a departure from the values and traditions of global leadership that he saw epitomized in the United States.

I’m going to wait a couple years after he gets settled in his new digs at Annapolis before I pay my respects.
The North Vietnamese Air Force lost an ace, today.
Then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, the media saved him and he ended up with the nomination.
It was an obvious (to me) fix that the Republican Party allowed so that Obama would walk into the White House.
R.I.D. (rest in dirt)
I've never forgiven or forgotten the GOP or Juan since then.
I think people have redefined patriotism and honor to fit it with a man who was not humble, noble nor honorable to be labeled with such accolades. Then again, look who are giving him high praise such as Obama, Kerry, Gore, Pelosi, Schumer etc.
I had the misfortune as a young troop in the Army to serve under a new Company Commander who was a son of a General Officer. He was late to his Change-of-Command to take charge of his Company. Bn and BDE laughed it off. He later threw an artillery simulator into a dry brush field (Woah! this things whistling, quick throw it) setting the field on fire. Troops from surrounding units helped us stamp out the fire. The whole incident was hushed up and never spoken of again. It was comical how Colonels would be nervous and go overboard to humor him.
IMHO, he did not die on Sat, that was only to control the T.V. narrative for a weekend, not that it really matters. His rotten name will be out of circulation in 7 days + I can’t wait! We all live + die, he was nothing special.
Since McCain had mastered the art of stabbing his own party in the back when it hurt the most, I'm having a generous rum and coke right now. One that I've been planning to have for some time now.
And after that, I'll have another.
Cheers.

Barf-O-Rama.
I caught a brief “breaking news” type of statement on Fox News that said Mc had died.
Later, I was pissed off that Fox News preempted all of their evening programming (Watters, Pirro and Gutfeld) to provide BS coverage like Mc had been a head of state.
I hope he is at peace. I am thankful that we are now spared from his enduring malice.
Barqy will bring his telepromter, Hillary will have a coughing fit, occasional cortex will spout communism and the media will swoon.
