In the 1930s, the American communist party had a plan to get 1,000 men of dubious character, to enter into Catholic seminaries in order to destroy the Catholic Church from within. Bella Dodd was the person who spoke up about this. (She was later brought into the Church by Archbishop Fulton Sheen.)

The 1940s is when the abuse from these dubious characters began. They were told to rise as high as they could with minimal detection. They got into positions of influence. That is were the problem originates.

My prayers are for all of the good priests who were never a part of this operation.

I remember watching a TV movie in the 1970’s that pushed the idea of allowing gays into the priesthood. The argument that they pushed was that priests are celibate and it didn’t matter what their orientation was because they would all abstain from sex as a priest. I remember thinking that it was a load of bull then and haven’t changed. It seems it was only part of a plan to rot the church from the inside.
