Hillary’s home-server was meant to protect her messages from archiving and retrieval. She knew perfectly well they would be subject to hacking, but that wasn’t the point. The point was to prevent US public scrutiny. As such, it was probably about protecting her sources of $$$$.
And when she was found out, Comey and Strzok protected her.
