I have a 1981 Mark II that probably the first year after Ruger brought in on line after the Ruger Standard. The other major drawback that I have was the feeding of HP ammo. I thought about taking the ramp down a little but hate to mess with it since it has such a low SN.

There's a technique for that. Took me awhile to find it. Let gravity do the alignment work and it goes together easy-peasy.
