Todays Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)
Tired of all this Winning yet? Within a couple of hours of the announcement that former First Lady Barbara Bush had died at the age of 92, Fresno State English professor Randa Jarrar issued a tweet celebrating the event: Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal. F*** outta hear with your nice words.
After shed gotten pushback from other Twitter users, she followed that little ditty up with:
PSA: either you are against these pieces of s and their genocidal ways or youre part of the problem. Thats actually how simple this is. Im happy the witch is dead. Cant wait for the rest of her family to fall to their demise the way 1.5 million Iraqis have.
Unable to leave bad enough alone, she felt compelled to add this taunt:
I work as a tenured professor. I make 100K a year doing that. I will never be fired. I will always have people wanting to hear what I have to say.
Within an hour after that missive, her tweets had been deleted, and her Twitter account was locked.
That was all last night. This morning, Fresno State President Joseph Castro issued the following statement about its tenured English professor:
A few minutes after that statement was issued, the profile description to Prof. Jarrars Twitter account was changed to read as follows:
Currently on leave from Fresno State. this is my private account and represents my opinions.
Perhaps she isnt quite as bullet-proof as she thinks.
Just another day in self-destructing progressive nitwits America.
That is all.
