I wonder if this was part of the ‘so-called’ Catholic Charities whose mission was to bring in children (illegal immigrants) and have them adopted by US families ?

Each diocese is different, but the dioceses in Illinois got out of adoption after the state required same sex adoptions.

I think that was said tongue in cheek - not real charity work but so called “faith based” to get the illegals into the country, provide for them and rake in the dough from the US taxpayers...THEN turn them loose for the states and cities to support..

I'm not talking about any real Catholic diocese. I was talking about the 'catholic charities' group which doesn't seem to be either Catholic or a Charity. It was a huge 'grant' receiver that was fundamental in taking 'refugees' from various 3rd-world toilets and sequestering them with families across the US.
