He pled guilty to lying, when not under oath, in a conversation with the FBI.

For that the government destroyed him.

In an abuse of power reminiscent of the Soviet Union, the Deep State identified the criminal and ginned up a crime.

It’s called a “plea bargain.” Happens dozens of times every day in the USA’s judicial system.

Anyway, the General and his lawyers obviously understood that without entering into this bargain, he’d face charges even more serious and more costly.

Lessons:

1. Don’t lie to the police, as I learned long ago from watching too many detective dramas on TV.

2. Don’t lie to the Vice-President.

3. Don’t accept money and awards from Putin’s TV channel, Russia Today (RT).

4. Don’t lobby on behalf of the Turkish government when you’re already a foreign policy advisor to the POTUS-elect.

5. Don’t fail to report (a) your income from foreign sources and (b) all connections with foreign governmental bodies.

6. Don’t count on a WH job or a friendship with the POTUS to get you out of legal jeopardy.

Still, if Gen. Flynn is as innocient as the proverbial “lamb” in this on-going soap opera, why doesn’t the POTUS simply issue a full pardon ASAP, as he did in the case of Sheriff Arpaio?
