Thanks - his battle was so long and drawn out that it is actually a blessing that he is now free of pain and suffering and in Heaven.
I lost a younger brother last year to cancer. He fought it for almost 7 years. When the end came he faced it with a dignity and grace that I will never aspire to.
I understand what youre saying. But it doesnt mitigate the pain youre feeling. You have my deepest sympathies. It never goes away, you just learn to live with the loss.
Ill say a prayer for both him and for you. Hes at peace now and I shall ask that you find a measure of it, too.

My deepest sympathy and prayers of comfort for you and your family. What you said is what keeps me going after the loss of a loved one.........knowing they’re in Heaven and are whole again.
He resides with the LORD and His angels, and you will meet him soon again.
