I’m in the middle of Michael Burlingame’s excellent two volume “Abraham Lincoln: A Life.”
I cannot recommend it highly enough. Certainly the best bio available for Lincoln.
I'm curious. Is Baltimore Plot an entry in the index? Does it describe "Honest Abe" standing up Mary Todd and guests on their originally scheduled wedding date?
