Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein approved an application last year to extend surveillance of former Trump campaign associate Carter Page, a secret Republican memo claims, according to law enforcement sources and news reports.
Rosenstein has been fighting the release of the memo from inside the Justice Department, sources confirm.
According to three people familiar with the memo, the FBI and Justice Departments (DOJ) application was based partially on research by investigator Christopher Steele, who contributed to a dossier containing unverified claims about President Trumps ties to Russia.

Will he be indicted?
I always had this feeling that Rosenstein was an undercover Rat.
...not if the Clinton’s have their way
So will this conspiratorial Rat keep his pension like that other Rat Lerner? I don’t want my taxes paying for any of these Rats’ pensions.
Game set match.
So, assuming he did that, and he did, then does anyone think he would turn around and appoint Mueller if he wasn’t certain Mueller would have his back?
Interestingly, Cody Shearer was also supposedly involved in this.
He’s the “PI” the Clinton’s used to terrify Kathleen Wiley and his sister was married to Strobe Talbot.
OH, domino. House of cards? We’re here from the govt to help you. Not!
At least this claim is testable ...
Mole
It's been awhile. Twitter has moved on. Very rare to see someone calling for the memo to be released there now.
I think they're going to let it all die down and we'll never see it. If they were going to release the memo they would have done it by now.
He and Holder actually look like rats.

Re: the Gen. Cartwright leak investigation:
In March 2015, the Washington Post reported that the sensitive leak investigation, led by Rod J. Rosenstein, had stalled amid concerns that a prosecution in federal court could force the government to confirm information about the highly classified program.
According to some sources, Cartwright and Strozk are related but a poster here says they are not.
Let's charge him first.
Wrong.
The Committee is voting on it, then Trump has 5 days to decide if it should be released.
Think he will????
Twitter is censoring messages related to the memo.
You should regard Twitter as an arm of the DNC; they are ideologically identical and act on it.
If true, no wonder RR was fighting to keep Nunes memo classified.
Rosenstein was supportive of Trump firing Comey but then turned around and hired Mueller when Trump actually did fire Comey. A setup.
