Well, and that was part of my point that I raised in that, the White House should have been out there immediately at the forefront of the firestorm with a statement and explanation. They gave a statement which led many to believe he said it because they didn’t deny it. The media had hours to run with it before Trump Tweeted, and by then, his Tweets (which still aren’t specific) were like a garden hose on a house fire.
I can’t believe we have this much furor over something that might not have been said.
It’s not like there is a shortage of controversial material that we know was said.
