A doctor tells the patient that he has good news and bad news...

The good news is that they can save the patients leg and the fix the broken arm.

The bad news is that the heart is failing and the cost of replacing it cannot be justified.

However, the patient should be satisfied that it can walk and pick it's nose for a while...

So...Is Dr Trump getting ready to allow the American dream turn into a terminal nightmare?

There is going to be an amnesty.
What matters is how many and what measures are in the bill that reduces the number of illegal aliens.
We now have 10 times the number that were amnestied in 1986.

He is losing his base already.
You are so correct when you say you are cooling about retaining DACA recipients. They will mostly be destroyers of American culture.

I have watched the radicalization of second and third generation Mexican Americans and legal and illegal immigrants with support from big money that wants to transform America into an unrecognizable country from the one that existed for most of its history.

And the DACA kids arrogance and disruptive behaviors you describe are exactly what is being encouraged by the radicalizers.

Add the shutdown of H1-B and OPT visas to that list.

3 days ago at Camp David, Trump and the Republicans huddled behind closed doors.

Trump goes into detail what needs to be done to get DACA. Trump ends with that one day Mexico will still pay for the wall. It was a heads up about what happened today in the bipartisan meeting where he played a rope a dope game to get the Dems to bite on negotiationing.

The media question about DACA comes at 16:15 Minutes.

Trump and Republicans at Camp David

Notice who was standing behind Trump at Camp David - Kevin McCarthy.

Today McCarthy acted as a Repub ‘safety valve’ for Trump so he could further suck in the Dems. Diane Feinstein, the sucker, provides the question pushing DACA, wanting “a clean DACA bill now before they going further.” Trump gives Feinstein what she wants to hear, but McCarthy comes in to caution Trump.

“DACA Exchange between President Trump, Sen. Feinstein & Rep. McCarthy”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPjZLmmmHVw

McCarthy: Mr president we don’t want to do DACA and then come back 2 years later asking do to security...” Listen to the rest of the interaction between Trump, Feinstein, and McCarthy.

It was a scripted setup by Trump and McCarthy.

President Trump gained many voters before today. Finally, shock and awe worth seeing. The tax reform will ensure conservative gains. He's strong on defense. He's done his best to fulfill his promises.

On the negotiations regarding immigration and the wall, he'll do better than any other president has done in the face of a reluctant Congress.

The world doesn't revolve around liberal states for now, and everyone knows it.

All of those are nice, except they wont be enforced at some of the state and local levels.

Better way-EVERY SINGLE DAM place of business that gets caught with illegals working at their facilities get to pay about a 6 thousand dollar fine, per illegal, and 80% of that goes to the local arresting agency. Then, that business gets to pay for all the deportation fees.

Wanna see the states give up on their idea of sanctuary states?

YES.

When the President said earlier today he would sign whatever bill Congress sends him, he is setting himself up for deserved criticism.

He called it “the bill of love” which sounds like W is still in office, and is a far cry from Trump’s campaign promises.

No, not if Trump gets the wall and end chain migration along with ending immigration lottery. Today Trump wanted to suck in the Dems to get the ball rolling. See post #26.

If we do #2-#9 on the list, we don’t need #1, but it’d still be nice to have.

If they come up with something, it won’t be anything like what he campaigned on and that, folks, is the final nail in the coffin. They’re going to allow a bunch of welfare abusing, affirmative action, America hating, illegals a free pass. Not one of them will be affected by the decision.

Some say, “Give the President a chance. He’s a negotiator”. Bullsh*t!!!!

The only negotiation should be, “I extended DACA to March, out of generosity. I have a 70pt Immigration Policy that I put out in October 2017. I want all of those 70 pts in the bill, along with the RAISE Act. I’ll give you all until the end of the week to come up with something. At COB, on Friday, I will sign an Executive Order, rescinding the illegal and unconstitutional DACA program”.

Just remember, a former president stated when meeting with Congressional leaders from the other side, “I won. Deal with it”.

This meeting has proved he is not “insane” as the left has posed, but slipping on his promises and rallying to us.

So you've seen the bill then?

No deal, even has to be made. The program is over in March, only because he extended to give Congress a chance to come up with something. It should have been over last year.

He holds all the holds all the cards. Every single one of them. His only deal should be ...

Give me what I want or DACA is over and deportations and the rescinding of benefits begin.

The question was COULD HE, and the answer is YES, but of course as you said that is depending on the deal. My concern is that he has already now said that he is going to sign whatever Congress sends him, and that is not what we elected him for, so it appears he may be off course at the moment.

Trump is only starting the art of the deal. Look at what he gets in the end! The democrats will be naked wearing barrels when he’s done with them. Trump aint Bush.

Who controls Congress the Republicans do. They already went through the scenarios at Camp David. And if there is no deal? Well that still satisfies many here. The DUmb Dems likely even get the blame for not getting DACA through from their supporters.

“I have watched the radicalization of second and third generation Mexican Americans”

About 80% of current DACA enrollees are Mexican (about 550K).

We’ll see if the Repubs in Comgress can hold the line, but I sure wouldn’t bet on it, now that Trump told the whole media contingent he will sign whatever they send him. Ryan and McConnell may have smirked when he said it, or at least took a quick look at one another.
