Why?
You lock up a whole bunch of Democrat votes in her district so that that they don’t make other, Republican, districts less safe.
And in return she makes the Democrats look bad.
Win-Win.
The only problem is her seniority in Congress.
She’s the Texas equivalent of Coretta Scott King..................
