My late brother was very liberal as is his wife. Both of their daughters are also liberals but they both married conservative men. Strangely enough they all seem to get along very well. One of them even commented that it must freak out the mailman to deliver the National Rifleman and Mother Jones to the same house.
They remind me of some of the slick Westernized Arab men who hung around cultural sites in Europe in order to pick up Western women. They tried to sound interested, but obviously had something else in mind.
