The tests are often spot on. I know several people that have identified relatives. Even a person that discovered their biological father. The heritage identifiers might be skewed, but not the DNA markers.
My extended family is engaging it for that precise reason. That's the only realistic use for these tests.

Be careful. You might find out your father is not who you thought he was. That or you might find some step siblings. I know someone that this happen to. Kind of an odd situation to say the least.
