That astounded me when I read that - no mature adults on the dam_ jury?!
And then they passed around the murder weapon, which they were probably terrified of. What do you want to bet none of them have ever shot a gun? The defense literally convinced them the big scary gun could go off by itself.

Naahhh ... it ain't illegal to be young and stupid .... 'specially if you have a public high school diploma that shows you satisfied SOME kind or requirement.

(perfect attendance award = h.s.diploma ?)

If the defense encouraged the jury to hold and examine the gun, I think it upports my suspicion that the defense cleverly made the trial about the guilt of the gun and the innocence of the murderer.
