Someone asked the sheriff if he thought they would find the motive.

He said "absolutely"....which tells me they already know...but need backup and background information.

My gut is still telling me "Fast & Furious"...like maybe a friend was killed by one of OUR guns.

At this point they need permission from the feds to say what they have actually found about the motive.”An old white guy who just snapped” never got on the runway.

Anitfa or Islam?

My first thought was Antifa, but it’s not adding up for me. The hard core Antifa types are flat out Commies, they commit violence but seem to want to still be around for the “Revolution”. This guy had no plan for escape.

Islam. I was reluctant here since it’s difficult to imagine a 60yo white American converting to Islam to this extent. But this motive is looking more likely than AntiFA.

In either case, the FBI and DHS are/will be extremely reluctant to disclose the full motive to the public. In the case of Islam they are afraid of Muslim backlash and potentially unleashing that. But I suspect they are even more fearful of a backlash if he were found to be associated or motivated by AntiFA.

With Islam, the enemy is mostly overseas. With AntiFA? The enemy might be your neighbor.

The FBI and DHS have been warned repeatedly under the Obama administration that so-called White nationalists or Right-Wing groups represent a greater threat in America than ISIS.

The Government will want to “Manage the Motive”, when released, in order to minimize what they perceive to be any backlash or retaliation.
