This has been their game plan all along. First, they started attacking the Confederate flag, and any state flag that even remotely resembled the Confederate flag. Then, they insisted on eliminating Dixie. Then they moved on to attacking Confederate statues, monuments, and even headstones. They picked Confederate targets, figuring that the majority of non-Southerners would stand idly by and allow them to eliminate them, and even cheer them on.
They pretty much tipped their hand, when in the wake of 9-11 many colleges and towns condemned the waving of the American flag as a form of hostility and aggression. Since then we have seen American flags being disallowed at some games, and chanting “USA, USA” is routinely condemned.
Make no mistake, their real target was the US flag, and national anthem all along.
There are two overlying principles at work with “progressives”
1. They do not understand nor feel a need for sovereignty. They consider themselves “globalists” (how “european). When you look at their views on immigration, race, symbols of our country etc, it all comes down to a global, non-sovereign point of view, and
2. Power. Because they can. Not about the issue.
Not so long ago, one person alone did not have the power to stop 350 million people in their tracks. It’s the mom who sues a school district for holding a Christmas party, it’s man who decides to not stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and therefore NO ONE stands and so on. Is it the change they want or the power to throw a wrench into the gears of the majority? My own belief, it’s the power to do so.
Makes sense, they are attacking he nation state by attacking our symbols and history.

The endgame is to erase our history, culture, heritage and traditions. All of it.
Some of our holidays are already gone and/or replaced: Washington and Lincoln’s birthdays, for instance, Columbus Day too (except in Pennsylvania). Christmas and Easter have morphed into generic “holidays.”
Statues and monuments dedicated to our heritage under attack and are being systematically destroyed or taken down including those of our Founding Fathers.
This is far larger than just the National Anthem.
I’d like to send every one of them that disrespects our flag or anthem straight to Cuba, on a one-way ticket with no chance of return.

You are exactly right. I was saying this same thing to my wife the other day. They want teams to hide in the locker room, or take a knee, they want people to remain infuriated and keep up the pressure through the whole season.
At some point, the NFL will say “Look, the patriotic ceremonies are too divisive, so to make it fair to everyone, we are going to remove all of the flags and ceremonies completely from every game.”
Then everyone will be really mad but slowly over the next year or two, the fans will trickle back in and everything will normal again but without the flag, song or soldiers.
If anyone thinks I’m crazy, this happened already with the gay issues. In 2012 the democrats started putting gay rights on the same level as a civil right, where their cause was equated with Rosa Parks. There was outrage in the black community for a while but in the end, they all snapped back in line like good little democrat pets that they are. It is sad that people are so malleable and forgetful. This is why socialism acts like a ratchet. Every time it moves forward and clicks in place, there is no going back. The ratchet immediately starts moving forward again to the next position.

That’s right. In their dys/utopian future, the United States will be a relic of the past, as we will be ruled by the United Nations, and the American flag will be to them as the Confederate flag is to us, and the Republican Party will be to them as the KKK is to us. The amazing thing to me is how can it be that Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, etc., do not see this.

I always thought the endgame of the confederate statue removal is to remove ANYTHING AMERICAN or any statues of Americans. That is the REAL ENDGAME.

That’s a long drive. And kind of a pointless one given how often the flag has changed and how long it took us to actually decide we had a national anthem. We got all the way through WWI without a national anthem, if it somehow evaporated tomorrow I think we’d be OK.
