Dont give up on Trump just yet. It is far too early to throw in the towel and come to the conclusion that this is another status quo presidency. This is anything but.
Trumps decision to work with Democratic leadership over the contentious DACA issue on immigration is the latest sign that the typical Republican vs. Democrat dichotomy is dying. At least, lets hope with all our hearts. It is likely a smart move to work with both parties to remain flexible and pragmatic, then they will owe you come the end of the year when you finally get to tax reform.
Wednesday nights round of striking a deal with the Democrats, essentially going around the do-nothing Congress of Paul Ryan / Mitch McConnell, shows that Trump is really throwing a wrench in things. No longer do Republican presidents only have to go along with what Republican lawmakers want. The Obama years are over when laws were enacted upon strict party lines. America is changing and Trump is bringing this to a reality in his efforts to deal with whoever is ready to make America Great Again in Congress.

He is our ONLY hope.
People here that think is the gentile days of the past where power could swing back and forth, and you can be assured that at least the nation would be ok, are OVER.
This man is all there is between us and the abyss.
These loons had better get their priorities straight, because this is the beach we’ve landed on, and we are starting the war here.
Last and only hope. An amnesty for the illegals ends the Republican party forever. It adds voters in Texas and throughout the country that will swing the balance, and it so enrages the American people (as opposed to the people living in the US) that the Republicans will not get votes from anybody. Instead, the party will splinter into freedom caucus, globalist and religious wings.
The only ones “giving up” are the ones who were never on board, i.e. the Never Trumpers types.
Do you mean:
Build The Wall
Repeal Obamacare
Cut Taxes
Get us out of the wars
Deport the illegals
Drain the swamp
Those expectations?
Aye! Stand Ye Steady!
Pres. Trump is dealing with a corrupt, uniparty Congress that supported lawless Obama and doesnt want to support Trump. And while Trump is getting LOTS done as president despite Congress, his first two years in office are arguably for practice.
In fact, its up to us patriots to help Trump drain the swamp by electing as many new lawmakers as we can in the 2018 elections who will support Trump.
In the meanwhile, patriots need to make sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting candidates on the primary ballots, candidates who will respect state sovereignty and Congresss constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers when in office.
The dichotomy died shortly after Newt Gingrich left the Congress. Since that time we have seen a merging of the parties, an amalgamation, a friendly takeover by the Democrat Party. It is now more properly called The Party and is run by the Democrat Central National Committee which.
If Trump does drop into the Establishment slot and become part thereof thenwe waste our time trying to depose him ourselves or replace him in 2020. There isno other and there is no more time. he is our last shot to do it within the framework of the system. If he does not or cannot get whet we need then we have to make other arrangements with each other and other sorts of preparations.
In such eventuality we must still use the political system as much as possible to stave off the left while knowing that all we are doing is getting civilization a little more time to prepare.
I believe President Trump has learned how to bank political clout and how to spend it as well.
Just like we can’t take money with us when we pass on so it’s best to use it while we’re here; it’s equally important to use banked political clout while in office but only as needed and wisely.
When Trump is re-elected he will refill his political bank account and have more leeway just like any second term President to do things he couldn’t in his first term. The goal is to get as much done as he can within the limitations he has but also to keep an eye on being re-elected so he can do much more and be more aggressive in his second term. We all need to keep this in mind. It’s okay to criticize of course but keep in mind we need him to stay on the MAGA track and to do that he must be re-elected.
Yes.
as contrasted with the Jewish days of the present.
+1
Good post! I can only agree.
And how long do we wait for our best shot to pull the trigger?
A 355 ship Navy
End Sequester in the DoD budget
Mean it when you say Cross Dressers will serve “in no capacity” in the military instead of what your Sec Def says
End the Iran deal
Become the best friend Israel ever had
Add these to your expectations list.
Yes. Trump has only been in office about 8 months. It is ridiculous to assume all those things would get done right away. Trump has to persuade Congress to work with him and cut deals to get what he wants. We will see how well he does.
How about AMERICA FIRST!
HOW ABOUT A WALL, TAX CUTS, REPEAL OBAMACARE!
The Trump we knew on the campaign trail is unable, due to lack of WILL to deliver.
BTW I'm not against him one bit, quite the opposite. I'm just calling it as I see it.
