TNG was a total propaganda series with just the right smug actor to play Captain Picard. I always found Patrick Stewart a condescending & patronizing Jackass as the Captain and frankly did not like #2 Riker any better.
I vividly remember a scene in one of those episodes where he told someone that money was a thing of the past and that everyone worked toward the benefit of everyone else, and that was itself it's own reward.
What BS that was and is. Somewhere Roddenberry went off the rails and stayed there, I think some had to do with the second wife, she used to be on the original Star Trek, she played nurse Chapel, Majel Barrett.

Star Social Justice Warriors.
No thanky.
The ship design is a total steal rehash from an earlier proposed series. Can’t even create anything original anymore.
I may just watch with the sound off, I like watching the ships. May not, they may not have enough o that to make it worth it.

I’ve only actually sampled a few bits and pieces here and there from all of the post-original S.T. series. But it was enough for me to see that there was nothing there that I wanted to continue watching. Same goes for 95% of all TV series since the 70s.

“if they follow the Prime Directive -> Advance The Progressive Narrative.”
I thought the ST Prime Directive was more an anti-radical, hands-off approach as far as letting others decide their own fate.
The Libs Prime Directive is to force their ways down everyone elses throats.

So just how does virtue signaling work as a business strategy?
Is it like shooting a hole in the bottom of a lifeboat to “keep it real”?

I have not bothered with any of the “New Trek”, i.e. anything from the reboot and after. Granted, TNG had it’s political correctness moments. But anything after Enterprise I ignored.

The show-runners of the highly anticipated new CBS Star Trek series have said their Klingons will symbolize Trump supporters in modern America. Klingons. Ferocious warriors in in the Star Trek universe known for their bravery, honor, and loyalty.

Conversely, I thought DS9 got things right. Good actors, good plots, interesting characters, and no annoying Dianna Troy.
