Trump’s Deal With Pelosi/Schumer Is A Huge Win For The GOP
DB Daily Update ^ | 9.8.2017 | David Blackmon

Posted on 09/08/2017 4:59:49 AM PDT by EyesOfTX

But Pelosi persevered, at least for now, staving off her challengers and critics by reminding them that she is a…wait for it…”master legislator”. That claim is a laughable lie, but if Pelosi knows one thing, it is that Democrats love, love, love being lied to, which of course is why she rose to power in the first place. So things calmed down for her, but she was far from out of the woods, and many observers have remained concerned there could be more moves to oust her as next year’s mid-term elections approach.

So, by now you’re wondering why I am writing about all of this today, and if I actually have a point to make, right? Right.

Well, yes, there is a point. It’s one I meant to raise in yesterday’s piece about the budget/debt ceiling/emergency relief deal President Trump made with Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, but the drugs I’m taking trying to get over the flu have left me so drowsy I forgot to do so. And it’s a point pretty much everyone seems to be missing in all of this, especially Republicans, most of whom spent all day Thursday whining about the President making a deal with the devil.

The point here is that, by making this deal with Pelosi and Schumer, President Trump gave them a success story to brag about, propped them up as their Party’s de facto leaders, and thus basically ensured that San Fran Nan and Cryin’ Chuckie Schumer will remain the ugly, deranged face of the Democrat Party through the 2018 midterm elections. In other words, the best possible outcome for the GOP.

When you see people like me talk about Trump playing 4D Chess while everyone else is playing checkers, this is exactly what we mean.

“Immediate funding for disaster relief and a reprieve from the endless politicization and drama over the “ debt ceiling” - an issue about which the GOP are like whores trying to defend their virtue”

Yea, I was thinking that too. It’s almost like the Republican leadership ENJOYS getting our hopes up that they’ll finally act conservative...just to SCREW US at the final moment (and just after we vote), just before falling off the cliff...saying that they had to screw us to prevent a dreaded government shutdown.

Well, the Republican leaders don’t get to do that with Trump. If they want to screw us over this time, they’ll have to do it shortly BEFORE having to win their re-elections. In other words, we’ll get to vote on them screwing us over this time.

I believe that if the Lord waits it will happen. But I believe it will be via a hot Civil War.

“They” will never give up until they are put down. It’s how it works. We are clearly on the verge of a “french style” revolution, except the classical liberals are much better armed and trained - and the military really is on their side, if they can take sides.

But I think the Lord’s return is imminent. We are told to recognize the signs. They are all around us. Civilization has reached it’s point of ultimate self destruction financially, technologically and culturally. It is what so much of bible prophesy discusses.

Or we could just be on the verge of another period like the late 1930’s and early 1940’s. Only worse.

I think this might allow Trump to peel off a few democrat votes here and there.

Never really admired Trump. Now that he has shown his true color, he should be impeached.

If DACA is to be found in the US Constitution , then let it be now under this POTUS and his USSC

What Trump did with DACA was to undo this as an executive branch order - clearly a breach of delineated authority
The Constitution not the President defines and confers citizenship

When Roger Taney authored Dred Scott it was because he could not interpret the Constitution AS WRITTEN to confer citizenship,on slaves
Nor could he condone and legitimize Congress or individual states as having the authority to do so by writing laws
It took amending the Constitution to do so
A process and method legitimately defined by the Framers themselves
Unfortunately it also took a war by the states against federal authority ... however

If the class of US residents defined under DACA is to be decided as constitutionally enitled to citizenship then it is up to the legislative and juducial branches to make it so
Perhaps ditto with automatic birthright citizenship to those born here from noncitizen parents

Trump has sent this back to the Congress to “ fix”
Which will require the involvement of the judicial branch to,determine the cimstitutionality of any “ law” they write to do so

If the Courts cannot find them entitled to citizenship under the Constitution AS WRITTEN - or under any law written by Congress - not then it requires amending the US Constitution based on the consent of the people and their representatives
Not new “ Laws” and not “ executive orders”

A process obama - a man contemptuous of the US Constitution except when it served HIM - found unwieldy and perhaps the outcome not in his personal favor. And time to school the democrats that you dont change or rewrite the Comstitution by writing unconstitutional laws

Trump is brilliant honest and brave on this

If you domt want to go read someone’s WORK - from which they earn money from their advertisers for writing and publishing - then move on

Free Republic is a forum offering access to sources of news and opinion
The authors of which earn a living
Maybe you think Breitbart and CNN publish for free and independent writers should do the same
Maybe you think free TV is free when you choose to tune in based on a promo

” That's not how it works! That's not how any of this works”

DJT wants to do away entirely with the “ debt ceiling”
So do the democrats
They are on the same page - but for entirely different reasons!
The democrats see this as having an open checkbook
Trump sees this as absurd theater where the GOP pretends to try to be controlling the democrats in order to keep making empty promises to voters about the GOP being the party of cutting or controlling spending- when all they are is political whores auctioning off just enough of their virtue to try to look holy
So the” debt ceiling” just gets raised over and over again after a bunch of political theater, drama and back room porking.

Ryan actually has the chutzpah to clutch his pearls about “ the authority of Congress” to control spending
Just do his damn job and control spending
His record under obama shows how effective he has been at THAT

Very well said and I completely agree. It’s kinda fun to point this out to the leftists that completely miss the point. It’s amazing how the MSM can make a bad thing look good, and vice versa. It’s hard for it to stick, though, when people have other news sources where they can learn the truth.
