A small group of Trump supporters showed up in Berkeley, CA, to express their support for their guy. As was to be expected, a much larger group of counter-protesters showed up. And with them came the antifa.
Thousands of counter protesters took to the streets of Berkeley on Sunday where they clashed with a handful of Trump supporters, leading to several violent clashes and at least 14 arrests.
The mostly peaceful demonstration started heating up about noon at Martin Luther King Civic Center Park, where the two rival groups faced off and several fights broke out.
There were shoving matches around well-known Orange County far-right figure Johnny Benitez. Some screamed Go home Nazi, as police tried to escort Benitez and Irma Hinojosa, a member of the Southern California group Latinos for Trump, through the crowd and out of the park.
Police in riot gear fired a rubber bullet at one demonstrator who attempted to cross a barricade into the park, which was closed to the public. Some protesters set off purple smoke bombs.
Some anti-facists protesters, known as antifa, pounced when Joey Gibson, founder of the right-wing group Patriot Prayer, showed up with his crew. The protesters beat one man with a shield and another person wearing an American flag.
Some of the antifa protesters also threatened to break the cameras of anyone who filmed them, including journalists. One reporter tweeted that he had been pepper sprayed in one scuffle.
Moderate counter protesters were upset with the violence. We need to get antifa out of here, said Jack Harris, who helped break up a fight.
Andrew Noruk, who was wearing a T-shirt denouncing both the Republican and Democratic parties when two young women came up to him and started yelling at him.
Youre a Nazi, they shouted, leaving Noruk, who said he came out to protest Trump supporters, confused.
Noruk denounced the fights breaking out near the park, claiming antifa and black bloc anarchists have given Trumps supporters exactly what they wanted: footage of violence perpetrated against the presidents supporters in a historically liberal city.
This is a timeline of the events.(Videos at link)
What you see in virtually all of the video coming out of Berkeley is not a clash between opposing groups of extremists. You are seeing a violent, Democrat sanctioned mobthe antifaattacking unarmed people who happen to support the President of the United States.
I suppose if you are part of the punch a Nazi crowd, then this is all fun and games. If you want to draw a moral equivalence between organized mob violence and free speech you dont like, there is nothing to see here. But as sure as day follows night, unless the feds decide to start treating this like the criminal conspiracy that it is, this is finally going to be settled with guns because those attacks you see here are all clear cases of self-defense in any concealed or Constitutional carry state.
Oh, c’mon . . . these cats were the heroes of C-Ville
Just ask the media, blm, et al
In order to understand “anti-Fa” (and all the other SorozNazi street thug gangs) one need only look up Hitler’s Sturmabteilung
Where's Sessions?
Isn’t there some kind of law regarding “masking”.
And you’re going to prove a criminal conspiracy how?
Well, who knew, Trump was right - http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-28/bay-area-tv-anchor-unveils-truth-i-experienced-hate-first-hand-today-people-dressed-
When do McCain, Ryan and the other Rinos that threw him under the bus for his comments regarding bad people on both sides issue their apology?
Start with an investigation! Of course.
When something evolves, THEN, the public gets to know.
I think history/life bears me out on this. The reason the riots and destruction are going on unabated.. it’s allowed from the first time... and that first time (this time around) was with obama and the “gentle giant”.. and the kid with him who lied about what happened. The media took the kid’s word for who did what. obama encouraged them to riot.. and they did/do.
Do you remember, some years ago, the lion/tiger trainer who was killed by his lion/tiger? Later it was reported that the reason the lion/tiger attacked.. the man hesitated and the animal sensed it and took advantage of his weak second/minute.
And do you know if a teenager asks his parents to go somewhere and the parents hesitate, the kid goes full bore on getting them to say yes. But if the parent looks at him and says NO.. the teenager knows there is little hope.
Our government has not only hesitated.. it gave them approval. The reason political correct stupidity is all over the place.. is we tolerated it in the beginning.
Everything we tolerate gets worse. Everything we stop in its tracks, we can usually stop in its tracks.
We have tolerated the kids (there are a lot of 35 yr old kids) revolting in schools.. in dress.... in respect for our country, parents, elderly, and God. That’s how you get this that we see today that is just plain disgusting.
Tolerate evil and it will run amok.
Calling Antifa “anti nazi” is like calling Barack Obama a patriot. There is no more nazi-like group in America today than antifa.
"Antifa" is a typical leftist lie. The left is always naming itself the exact opposite of what it is. (e.g. "liberal", "progressive")
They are counting on people not looking beyond the "fake" naming to discover their real substance -- fascists.
Absolutely. Plus the left demands we live a certain way that they themselves would never live by.
For your information, an investigation has already been started by Sessions. They do NOT work in public. That's not how the DOJ works. When something evolves, THEN, the public gets to know.
There is a public announcement of a Charlottesville investigation.
So apparently they do "work in public". And there is no public announcement about Berkeley.
As I said, where's Sessions?
