Producers working with Katie Couric were doused with urine last weekend while covering the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, the famed broadcast journalist revealed Friday.
Couric spent a tense 72 hours covering the chaos unfolding in the city near and dear to her heart (she's a University of Virginia alum), and recalled the days' events in an op-ed for National Geographic titled "Being in Charlottesville Broke My Heart. It Also Filled Me With Hope."
The former "Today" show host revealed that on Saturday, the first day of the rally, two of her producers were standing on an elevated edge of Emancipation Park when they were hit with the unsanitary liquid....
