They’re both bad guys. There are no “good guys” in the Muslim world. The difference is we can either have bad guys in power who are dependent on us, or bad guys in power who want to kill us.

When you have an entrenched organization (the federal government aka the swamp) of over 2 million people, the vast majority of whom cannot be fired because they are our precious “civil servants”, they, from the most insignificant pencil pushers to the head of agencies, are going to fight tooth and nail anyone that threatens their safe and cushy lifestyles.
I have a neighbor. His grandfather immigrated from Iran, hence he has a Persian surname (last name).
His family are evangelical Christians, and his son plays pro ice hockey.
Before 9-11-2001 the majority of immigrants from the region, were Christians and Jews, and the muslims who had come, were largely secular, westward looking.

Some of the scariest Muslims wear nice western clothing and work in offices. The American people would actually be safer if our leaders hired bloodthirsty ISIS thugs to work for them. At least they’d be fired the first week for beheading and such. What we have now is insidious. We are frogs in the pot. Is it my imagination, or is it getting warmer in here?
