There's always been some question whether Senator McCain was a traitor or a war hero in Viet Nam. There was always some distaste about how he left his disabled wife when he returned to jump on the money train. His duplicity was noted when the "maverick" got caught in that banking scandal. And what about him accepting the role of "unstoppable front runner" for the 'pub nomination when Huckabee was gaining traction? And then some would say losing the election on purpose.
Just a few weeks ago he went home (probably fuming because of his hatred of everything Trump) and has a timely diagnoses of brain cancer. He gets well enough to return to DC, get praise heaped on him, then sets up Republicans for defeat on beginning to clean up the health care mess. How can I say such an outrageious thing? The 'pubs would've gone along with ANYTHING he demanded to get his vote. He offered nothing.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a "miraculous recovery". Traitor or hero? I don't think the jury is out on that one any more. He's consumed not with cancer, but with hatred....for a country that let him stay in captivity and for an alpha-male who achieved what he wishes his handlers allowed him to achieve.
Too extreme, even for FR? I don't know. It's the way it all seems.
