Invading Russia cost Hitler the war, just as it cost Napoleon.
I thought that movie was a major disappointment. Time jumps, central characters were cowards, and lousy dialogue. No plot. Wasted my money.
Hitler lost the war because we got in.
Period. We could have dropped the first nuclear bomb on him, as well.
Invading Russia would have been fine if he hadn’t had to bail Italy out of Greece, that delayed the Russian invasion by a few week. If that invasion starts earlier Moscow falls.
The demise of the British Empire was a disaster for the entire planet. What a shame Hitler didn’t go to war with Stalin in 1939.
Russia was winnable, if Hitler had allowed the Russians who hated the Bolsheviks to have their own State, even if it was a puppet state. But he basically wanted the Russians to become slaves or be killed off.
Invading Russia cost Hitler the war, just as it cost Napoleon.

I think it was the History Channel that had a segment on the Brits taping the captured German officers' comments. One guy said, "Only Hitler and Napoleon didn't know it got cold in Russia in the winter."
IMO Hitler declaring war on the U.S. was a MAJOR blooper. There's a story about DeGaulle talking to his officers when one threw open the door and excitedly exclaimed "The Germans have declared war on America!"
Calmly, he turned to his audience and said, "We have won the war." He knew about the industrial power of the U.S.
