On Monday's edition of 'This Morning' on CBS, "Science Guy" Bill Nye speculated about why so many people skeptical of climate change predictions. Nye said that the Earth could power itself renewably if we had the will to "change everything." Nye says such changes are always taking place:
"What I tell everybody, my grandfather went into World War I on a horse. He rode a horse," Nye said. "But nobody rides a horse [anymore]... Everything changed in two decades. So let's change everything. We can do this people. Let's go."
Nye also gets a chance to pitch his new book: 'Everything All at Once: How to Unleash Your Inner Nerd, Tap into Radical Curiosity and Solve Any Problem'

Further, CO2 levels may not matter one whit, according to a new study that seems to utterly debunk the notion of CO2 acting as a Greenhouse... PV=nRT, the ancient formula, matters more than CO2 (which comprises about 0.04% of the atmosphere currently)

Well, we had coal fireplaces, coal-burning steam locos for trains, lots of coal-fired stationary engines in factories, coal-burning steamships, never mind piles of horse dung in the streets (the coming of the automobile was regarded as a boon that got rid of that last one) . . . The Climate change nuts scream about CO2 increases. Scientists in the 70's said that deforestation is a reason for high CO2 levels. I seem to remember The Cedars of Lebanon mentioned several times in The Bible were one of the first trees felled to deforestation for human use.
Historically, there were various attempts at conserving the Lebanon cedars. The first was made by the Roman emperor Hadrian; he created an imperial forest and ordered it marked by inscribed boundary stones, two of which are in the museum of the American University of Beirut. Over the centuries, extensive deforestation has occurred, with only small remnants of the original forests surviving. Deforestation has been particularly severe in Lebanon and on Cyprus; on Cyprus, only small trees up to 25 m (82 ft) tall survive, though Pliny the Elder recorded cedars 40 m (130 ft) tall there.So first, deforestation has existed for at least 2000 years. Why do they think we should get our knickers in a twist now? Second, the logical answer to high CO2 levels is planting trees! When I was in the Boy Scouts decades ago, we did just that. We went on camping trips and spent days with a pointed stick and a backpack or haversack full of pine seedlings planting in remote areas and reforesting logged out land. It is the most logical thing that through photosynthesis plants use sunlight to convert CO2 and water to sugar and oxygen.Extensive reforestation of cedar is carried out in the Mediterranean region. In Turkey, over 50 million young cedars are planted annually; covering an area of approximately 300 square kilometres (74,000 acres). Lebanese cedar populations are also expanding through an active program combining replanting and protection of natural regeneration from browsing goats, hunting, forest fires, and woodworms. The Lebanese approach emphasizes natural regeneration by creating proper growing conditions. The Lebanese state has created several reserves including the Chouf Cedar Reserve, the Jaj Cedar Reserve, the Tannourine Reserve, the Ammouaa and Karm Shbat Reserves in the Akkar district, and the Forest of the Cedars of God near Bsharri.
If the Global Climate liars would advocate this as a solution, I would be all for it and volunteer myself, but instead, they want to kick America back to the Stone Age for our so called sin of exhaling CO2.
Bill Nye is literally a Disney character, like Goofy. He worked at Boeing as an engineer and that makes him the world expert on what the weather is going to be like 100,000 years from now although no one can really tell me what the weather will be like tomorrow. Stephen Hawking, the crippled physicist, is another liberal “smart guy,” although in all honesty, he has never accomplished anything, but he makes liberals feel better about themselves. Kind of like the black physicist, I forget his name, who hosted “Cosmos,” who might be able to teach science at a community college, but not very well, I suspect. Me, my science heroes are Isaac Newton and Michael Farraday, to name 2. People who actually contributed to science, and weren’t famous for being pitiful.

Idiot Nye doesn’t know recent history. Our Special Ops guys in Afghanistan used horses for many of their operations.
The Ethiopians used horses and camels against the Italians in the 1930’s. The Poles used them to attack German tanks in 1939.
Lawrence of Arabia used horses in his attacks on the Turks, and Black Jack Pershing used horses and an airplane to track down Pancho Villa and his raiders.
My late father-in-law started out in the old Horse Cavalry in the late 1930’s. Ended up on foot at Iwo.
Pack Mules and horses were used for carrying supplies throughout all theaters of war in WW2 and possibly in Korea.
Bill Nye, the ignorant guy, knows nothing of history and to him, science is still a mystery.

Bye makes it sound like WWI was eco-friendly. I guess he missed the part about the hi-tech weapons of that age like machine guns, tanks, aircraft, poison gas, and long range artilary with high explosive shells. A war which left so much “debris” they’re still finding unexploded shells to this day.
