The biggest factor IMHO is that the vast majority of American Jews emigrated from Russia and Eastern Europe and arrived in America with socialist or at least leftist views.

The ones I know recognize what has been going on here. They all say, "I fled the Soviet Union to get away from all this and it followed me here." Sometimes Rush takes their calls. Listen when he does. These are almost all Jews.

I'm talking about immigrants from Czarist Russia. They started a tradition of left wing politics in their families.

I agree that Jews who fled the Soviet Union have a totally different take.
