120 (49 C) here yesterday south of Phoenix. Usually at lunch time on WFH days I go out on the patio to eat and watch the stars. Not tonight. It’s 94 at 1:30 in the morning with cloud cover. The good news is, it’s supposed to drop down to 117 today.
It’s so hot in Chandler this week we’ve brought the tortoise inside the house.
We had a whole week of this weather in 1990 before it hit 122. I was working outdoors at the time doing physical work. Of course, I was a lot younger then. It didn’t seem much hotter than the usual 114.
