It’s so hot in Chandler this week we’ve brought the tortoise inside the house.

We had a whole week of this weather in 1990 before it hit 122. I was working outdoors at the time doing physical work. Of course, I was a lot younger then. It didn’t seem much hotter than the usual 114.

I can tell the difference between 105 and 115 but anything warmer is just bloody hot to me.Wednesday is usually range day but I'm not up to lugging steel targets around the desert in this heat.

I'll have to check with my niece in Tucson to see if they've brought their tortoise in. It's been a little cooler down there but not much.
