The Electoral and Sovereign capacities of the people are not the same.

On July 10th last year I began a three part series on that distinction.

Here is the introduction.

I get what you are after with Article V. In my humblest of opinions, Article V is a great tool, IF we didn't live in the age of the uni-party. I've listened to Levin on many occasions discussing Article V. I've studied the history behind it. Every single thing I've studied, however, leads me to ask the very same question, each and every time: Are you telling me, beyond any shadow of doubt, that through this process - can you GUARANTEE me - that the GOP at the state levels will NOT, in any way, shape or form, kowtow to the leftist proposals - to the leftists in general - if they believe it can get their own proposals passed?

In plain words, are you telling me, after all I've experienced on my own (I've been a right wing activist for many, many years now, as well as a former leader in various Republican groups and a former candidate for State office myself), after all I've studied, after all I've watched with my very own eyes, that we can, in fact, TRUST THE GOP to do what is right and proper in this one instance?

I'm sorry, but history tells me the answer to that question, and the answer is NO.
