We really don’t know what nation it is that Maxine Waters believes she pledges allegiance to, but I am pretty certain it is in some alternate universe somewhere.

But whatever and wherever that hypothetical country may be, almost certainly Donald Trump would be viewed as a traitor, if for no other reason than not being Maxine Waters’ first choice for any position of power.

Russians are not the primary problem the United States has, and nothing is changed regardless of the particular form of government happens to be in control there. They are no longer Communist, or even Czarist, but Russians are still Russians, and the geopolitical reality is that they would be direct rivals to the United States, no matter who is in charge there. We may maintain cordial relations, or be openly hostile, And face it, cordial is much more satisfactory.

The US and the Russian Federation may sometimes have congruent strategic objectives, and be temporary allies in many endeavors, but they perhaps never shall be warmly supportive friends, now or ever.
