Obamacare II was not a repeal, it was simply rearranging.
I agree that the Ryan plan was fubar. But, I still support Trump and still want him to proceed to drain the swamp, reduce the scale of government and bust up the uniparty.
I can understand why he let Ryan have a shot at it, and I hope he learns a lesson about politics from this episode.

Well, duh. Repeal Obamacare! Every damn word of it and replace it with free markets, ie, feds stay OUT!
No conspiracy or secret deals, the minute they chickened out from a straight repeal we knew they’d come up with a replacement, and said replacement would be opposed by conservatives for being more of the same and opposed by liberals for getting rid of their proud flagship, and therefore would fail. It as politics as usual, obvious months ago.

I’m ticked off that he’s blaming the Freedom Caucus when they saved him from having the albatross of Obamacare II hung around his neck by Ryan.
If he sides with Ryan and the RINOs against the Freedom Caucus, I’m out.
I wonder if RyanCare would get the HFC votes if he reversed the phases.
Thank God there are at least a few freedom-loving, constitutionalist, non-statist Congressmen willing to stand up.
I truly believe that Ryan wanted this bill to pass knowing full well that it was crap so that it could blow up in Trump’s face. The democrats and the RINOs have shown us that they want no disruption or change to their empire. We should all be proud of the conservatives who held their ground. Trump should now know that Ryan is a POS who needs to be voted out of office.

I’m wondering how people feel about Senators possibly telling Representatives what to demand Trump include in the bill - knowing those demands would guarantee the bill failed in the senate?
And do people feel is it ethical for two former presidential candidates to actively work together to undermine the sitting president?
What about two senators holding frequent press conferences stating categorically the bill would fail in the senate (while working with the FC to make it defeatable)?
Why didnt Trump sell free markets as the replacement to 0bamaCare?

sorry about the ‘conspiracy theory’ heading but I had to put this under ‘conspiracy’ because it’s Politico, who is marginally banned lately.
There was at least one outside the Freedom Caucus who expressed unwillingness to vote for Obamacare Lite (my own congresscritter, which was a shock). There may well have been others.

I also don’t know why he has not rescinded Obama’s illegal DACA program which is still operating as if it were law and not something Obama dreamed up.
9750 more illegal aliens have been given work permits since Trump took office.
When it hits 10,000 can we call it Trump’s illegal DACA program?
I think Trump made a mistake to trust Ryan, and I'm not happy he did. I'm hoping he'll learn, adjust and take a new approach. I'm not willing yet to throw out the baby with the bathwater over it though...this is just one battle.
