Sen. Ted Cruz wasted no time mincing words on what he thinks about the three phases of the American Health Care Act Sunday morning on Face the Nation.
That aint gonna happen, Cruz told host John Dickerson when asked about the 3-phase plan President Trump and House Republicans have been pushing since the roll out their non-repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act.

defended by the Republicans.
Sadly, this is so true.
Republicans, Democrats, can’t tell ‘em apart anymore.
I know many folks here want to blame this American Health Care Act on the so-called RINOs, but this is Trump's plan too, like it or not.
The final plan will be, but not this current Ryan monstrosity.
Trump was on board with the original plan and he’s also on board for negotiations for changes to that plan. If he doesn’t like the final product he’ll either veto it or issue a signing statement.
Trump was on board with the original plan as a starting point - just like negotiations work in the real world.
Exactly.
I’m sure he will soon. He has a few more tweets to get out first :-)
Thank you! I will check it out.
Cruz is the Constitution genius. Senator Paul is a doctor.
Always loved these 2 guys.
But, they are in the minority.
Looks like our BCBS plan and change in coverage as well.
Thank God for Samaritan Ministries share plan.
Like to see how many of the Cruz-defenders with all due respect, do not speak well of Trump (Nevers) in other places. If they didn’t want to support Trump; I’m sorry.
[[I, too, believe he wasnt eligible for President.]]
Several courts disagreed with you- finding him eligible
Yertle looks like he’s about to snap.
I wondered about this as well.
Then I heard President Trump respond to this very question by stating that Phases 2 and 3 don’t require Congressional approval at all. They are simply phases where Dr. Price will have wide authority to make sweeping changes.
He said that the reason it has to be done this way is because it was the only way to disentangle ourselves from the Obamacare mess, the way it is written.
Please correct me if I am wrong. Does anyone else recall hearing the President say this?
I read the story. The numbers for the young couple don’t add up. He said he is getting a $400 a month subsidy. That might be for him, not the family. The KFF health insurance calculator says silver coverage is ~$1500 a month for a family of 5 for the young couple. It is likely a much better deal for the wife to stay home considering the health care subsidy, likely EITC, and not having to pay for childcare.
I guarantee you, some of the fan boys are the nastiest over elsewhere, bullies for Cruz. They would have rather seen Hillary elected.
