Why doesn't President Trump ignore the ruling?
self | 3/15/2016 | self

The U.S. Constitution clearly allows the president to block any individuals from entering the country that he deems to be a threat to national security.

Where does it state, in the Constitution, that a federal judge can override the president in this matter?

Trump should carry on and implement the E.O. What is anyone going to do about it? Impeachment? It takes 2/3 of the Senate to convict and the Dems don't have the vote.

What he needs to do first is break up the ninth circuit into a few more circuits, hire more judges, and then send remove the jurisdiction of the ninth circuit until all judges retire.

Judges think they can't be touched. They can.

I say they impeach the judge that made this ruling.

It has already been reversed on appeal to the 9th Circuit Court.

I think he believes some, if not a large majority, will refuse to enforce the law, thus weakening him beyond repair.

These judges have no say on this. It would be similar to a judge blocking a Trump appointment, because the judge didn’t like the person.

Not so - that was an opinion, not a ruling.

When applying the existing law to any legal document, the court under most case law can consider extraneously otherwise in-obmissable evidence only if such evidence totally negates factual evidence. This judge clearly voided his own stupid logic be saying that his own opinion would have been different if the originator of the executive order were someone other than Trump...clearly his own bias in violation of existing law. Disgusting judicial tyranny and should easily be overturned even on appeal to the sleazy 9th Circuit.

Bottom line to all of this:

The liberal politicians and elites don’t give a crap about who comes in the country...They only care about Trump eroding their “power”...Anything to go against Trump is their ONLY concern...

Their children are in protected private schools...They live in gated communities and have bodyguards protecting them and their families...

They have little to worry about personally and don’t give a crap what happens to everyday Americans as long as they can maintain their “power” by stopping Trump...

I think alancarp’s post #9 is correct. This does not appear to be a ruling. Just an opinion by a dissenting justice.

Thinking the same way. Don’t get this.

The law can’t be more clear, this guy is way beyond out of line.

he should be summarily found in competennt by the DOJ and at least suspended due to incompetence or mental issues, if not straight up in contempt.

What say he decrees every constitutionally authorized presidential power is subject to his politically correct liking?
So in the new bizarro world where case law president out weighs the constitution, there is now a foundation for challaenging the executive branch.

A foundation to now clog up everything from pardoning a Turkey at thanksgiving, to the War powers act.

I don’t get this either sir...

Unfortunately that was only a dissenting opinion on the previous ruling.

...It has already been reversed on appeal to the 9th Circuit Court...

Appeals are decided by a minimum of a three judge panel. Not one Judge. This Judges opinion has nothing to do with the Hawaii decision.

In a normal legal space, that legal opinion would not mean nothing, either: learned/respected opinions should carry some weight, whether made in the context of court proceedings or otherwise.

That’s not the world liberals reside in, of course, and I for one am getting tired of our side being the only one to obey the rules of law, civilization, and engagement.

Though this *still* operates under Law, I like to see the DoJ issue an opinion to the President that he can ignore this Hawaiian Federal Court and then the President would be free to enact his order.
