There is no practical rationale behind any federal agency having a private army to bully, extort and ultimately endanger American citizens.
When it comes to disparate groups of protesters who claim to value the land, the line is drawn definitively between the raucous, violent rabble that descended upon the Cannonball River in North Dakota and the orderly numbers that arrived at Malheur Wildlife Refuge and the Bundy Ranch in Nevada.
Lets list the differences, shall we?
> “Who values land as sacred? Ranchers, not environmentalists”
Could not be more true.
Those farmers and ranchers know that land better anyone.
President Trump should call on Congress to recognize stewardship charters for farmers and ranchers to be responsible for the land and to be responsive to assist all Americans who wish to use the land for recreational purposes.
Damn straight...
Having farmed and been around farmers, i have to say it ain’t black and white. Most farmers drill soil that is deader than a desert and they killed it. Dirt is just there to hold up the plant. Setting aside land, fallow, never happens. They keep cutting back woods. They only do what is incented by dollars from the USDA. So i call bullshit on the notion of holy land.
It is a nickel and dime business, nothing holy about commodities.
Hunters too.
