One word. Meloxicam. Can’t live without it. Have had many cortisone injections in various places and nothing works as well as the Meloxicam.

Interesting. Thanks. Do you take it? If so, can you recommend a particular brand?

I take curcumin, supposedly an Alzheimers deterrent as well. According to Dr. Perlmutter's book, Grain Brain, getting off carbs is the best thing for your brain. So I do that too, starting about 8 months ago. Remarkable difference in energy level. The body and brain require a lot of upkeep in the supposedly golden years, so do everything for your bones, joints, skin, energy level, and mental acuity. Everything. Including lots of exercise. Stay well, my FRiend.

Thanks, and best wishes for health and wellness back at you.

Regular exercise is half the battle!

Check out Astaxanthin as well.

Thanks, I popped it into my cart at AMZ. Impressed with customer comments citing vision improvements. My one health bugaboo….. ANY improvement would be welcome. It’s a water problem. Corneal dystrophy, probably hereditary.

Going to the gym this afternoon to watch golf on the big screen while cycling on an exercise bike. I’d love to play golf, took lessons, couldn’t find the ball. Ophthalmologist assured me I’ve never known where anything is, I’m so astigmatic—in addition to the dystrophy. So I’ll try anything…..ideas welcome...short of leeches on the eyeball.

I'm sorry to hear about your corneal problems. My father had issues with his and had to have a cadaver transplant. There is a lady physician in India who has made revolutionary progress with growing and grafting a person's own stem cells onto their corneas with amazing results. She is featured in a documentary, I forget the exact name, but it contains *stem cells*... :), and is/was available on Netflix.

Astaxanthin is amazing stuff for energy and muscle stamina. It should help preserve vision as well, as many have reported.

According to several studies when it comes to singlet oxygen quenching or eliminating free radicals astaxanthin can be as much as:
• 550 times stronger than vitamin E
• 800 times more powerful than CoQ10
• 6000 times more potent than vitamin C

I have had no problem with Turmeric and nobody I know has had a problem either. I don’t have stomach problems, however, so guess you need to try it to find out. It would be better, perhaps, to try the capsules instead of the raw turmeric. I take Turmeric Supreme by GAIA Herbs that can be found at whole foods as well as elsewhere. It contains black pepper extract. One capsule one or two times a day with meals.
It is probably best to check with your doctor because I don’t know what other meds you take.

Thanks.

I plan to ask my Dr.

I don’t take anything without consulting him, considering my history and the number and types of meds I’m on. Currently 9
