Dawning dread and desperation
2016 was a disastrous year for Democrats - and not just because they lost a little thing called the White House. They woke up the day after the election with champagne hangovers, caviar breath, and the horrific realization that theyd become a small, ineffectual, bi-coastal political party-ette. Worse, they were forced to admit that their media allies could no sell their tin as gold. So, they took a look at their parties bench to determine what comes next.
Al Franken is all they have left? I almost feel bad for them.
Almost.
Franken-Stein 2020
And he owes his career to Rush Limbaugh.
So paraphrase John Oliver: “Do it!”.
America would do well to cease looking for leadership in congress.
These people are the worst of the worst.
“The Al Franken decade.”
IMHO the reason for the weak bench may be the fact that they have been killing their babies for over 40 years...
I do believe if Paul Wellstone hadn’t died in a plane crash, he would have been President by now.
Yup
Democrats - Old white liberal elites at the top propped up by affirmative action women and blacks who got elected based on sex and color in the 80’s.
Name ONE intellectual liberal office holder under sixty years old...
Whaaat!?
Madonna
Bruce Springsteen
Whoopee Goldberg
Meryl Streep
Lena Dunham
Robert De Niro
Joy Bayar
Barney the Dinosaur
...
The left’s bench is DEEP, real deep.
It simply means that they have not figured it out yet, and keep choosing the Left-most candidates. Their leading choice to head the DNC right now the psychotic Keith Ellison. Until they stop racing to the Left, they will continue to fail at the ballot box, and will have to seek out alternative ways to get their ideas enforced. Let’s hope they keep racing.
I read that Mark Suckerberg is actively interested in making a run. Also Mark Cuban.
You forgot Kanye West ...
He played himself as the forklift operator in Trading Places
How thin is the democrat bench? Try ‘President Michael Moore’ thin!
