Sen. Chuck Schumer said the firing of acting Attorney General Sally Yates was part of a 'Monday Night Massacre' enacted by President Trump. In an impromptu speech on the Senate floor Monday evening Schumer called Yates, who was fired by Trump, a "profile in courage."
SCHUMER: We've had a number, a large number of eloquent speeches about the president's executive order. And while they were going on, of course, we had a 'Monday Night Massacre.' Sally Yates, a person of great integrity, who follows the law, was fired by the president. She was fired because she would not enact, pursue the executive order on the belief that it was illegal, .......

I would never trust Schumer, Pelosi, McAinal, Linda and any of the rats in Congress to do what is right for America and us.
Letting herself get fired helps create the extra drama and hand wringing from the left. Resigning would have been honorable, patriotic and quite; dems have none of these qualities.
I think acting Attorney General Sally Yates did what she did knowing she would be fired just so they could use the “Monday Night Massacre” meme.
They forget they have to build up the tension before the final act. This event will be dropped down the memory hole as the next event is pushed forward.
The Democrats are Lucy in the candy shop. Trump is turning up the speed on the conveyor belt and they just can not keep up.
It is political theater, but Yates represents the true danger of political correctness and the corrosive impact it has had (and continues to have) on our nation.
Political correctness has paralyzed our nation. It is deeply embedded in our media, discourse, schools, and even in our courts that are supposed to be based on nothing more than the law. Trump’s order is legal and it reflects both the law and the authority granted the President, yet opponents have cloaked themselves with PC as if they are equal to the law.
This is very dangerous and Trump, despite his intentions, has forced one of the biggest battles he must fight in week 2 of his Presidency. I think he will hold the line because I suspect he and his inner circle understand what is at stake and the ramifications for the rest of his Presidency.
If he backs down now he will cripple his Presidency. Ironically, the polls show his actions have widespread support, but the media is stuck in a hysterical fit. Spicer would do well, as others have suggested, to start showing videos to the press of past Presidents comments and current politicians tweets/comments regarding immigration.
I expect Trump will hold the line, but I do not believe the hysteria on the left will end any time soon.
Has Sally Yates been hired by FOX CNNews yet? Wallace will probably have her on his panel this Sunday.
LEFTISTS: Good only for you daily belly laugh.

I agree. The group you named has demonstrated they are hypocritical and can NEVER be trusted to do what is right for America. They do what’s right for them and only them. How does a public servant go in to office with a minimal salary and through the years become a billionaire?
“How does a public servant go in to office with a minimal salary and through the years become a billionaire?”
They get into bed with George $orea$$, the Koch Thugs, elites on Wall Street and $crew the rest of us while in office and and out office.
My new NC Governor, Roy Cooper, pulled this stunt
when he was our Attorney General. The legislature had to go out and hire outside lawyers to defend the state.
News to me. I had no idea he just fired her. Winning all over again. Won’t do your job? See ya.

Exactly. Now, theDemocrats are playing games and boycotting confirmation hearings. There must be another way around them.
