I studied in Italy back in 2004. I told the train from Florence to Rome to catch a flight home and the train car was filled with maybe 15-20 Americans. We had the car all to ourselves, all strangers, all going home. There were teachers, students, tourists, liberals and Conservatives. We swapped seats the entire train ride, meeting everyone and talking about our experiences. Every single American was tearful, impatient to get back to America. We may have had our ideological differences but the one thing we all agreed on is that there truly is no place like home.
That being said, this woman will find out very quick that Paris is not what she thinks it is and she will not be treated like the lady she thinks she is.
