During a new interview with comedian Marc Maron on the WTF podcast, Bruce Springsteen questioned President-elect Donald Trump’s basic “competency” three weeks before he’s set to take the oath of office. “I’ve felt disgust before, but never the kind of fear that you feel now,” Springsteen said. “It’s as simple as the fear of, is someone simply competent enough to do this particular job? Do they simply have the pure competence to be put in the position of such responsibility?” The rocker, who campaigned for Hillary Clinton, went on to express his concerns that Trump’s campaign unleashed “bigotry, racism, intolerance” that will be difficult to quell now that he will be in the White House. “Whether it’s a rise in hate crimes, people feeling they have license to speak and behave in ways that previously were considered un-American and are un-American,” Springsteen added. “That’s what he’s appealing to. My fears are that those things find a place in ordinary civil society.”
As Alice Cooper famously says, anyone who gets their politics from a rock star, is an idiot, because rock stars are so stupid, they can’t make a living doing anything else.
Remember a couple years back, when he said rock stars supporting candidates was treason?
If he were not “the nicest guy in rock and roll” and universally adored, he’d have been shredded for saying that.
Not that he’d give a road rat’s ass, mind you.
He’s a commie and his wife abuses horses.
Conveniently forgotten is that the media was calling both Clintons racists in 2008 when they challenged the Golden Child. It really got Bill steamed at the time.
He was originally pimped as “the next Bob Dylan”.

Fails real history with that. At the end of the Vietnam war, the Viet Cong were so decimated that they had ceased to be an effective fighting force and been dismantled and absorbed into the North Vietnamese Army years earlier. In the end they only had an office in Hanoi.

Bruce dodged the draft by pretending to be queer.
There was a magazine special on him, back in 1980, where he told the story in great detail.

Oh, this is easy.
It’s a guilty conscience.
He made a fortune singing Working Joe songs but *never* had a 9-5 job, himself.
He went from sleeping on his parents’ garage roof to playing in Jersey bar bands to outrageous fortune, all by pretending to champion the common man’s plight.
That hypocrisy would drive me batty.
Probably did him.
He become successful by singing to those with blue color roots.
Mr. Trump has become president-elect by talking to them.
I could not have expressed this better myself, even to not caring over much for Ted’s tunes.
