JFK was NOT the Democrat party. In fact, like Reagan, his party hated him. A big issue was that he was Catholic and the Dems thought his organized religion would demand the Pope run the country.

JFK wanted tax cuts, while the Dems wanted tax increases. The Dems have always been the Tax-n-Spend party. Always.

JFK sought integration, while the Dems reject the Civil Rights Act. So, no, the Dems did not seek to "correct imbalances". The Dems enacted Jim Crow laws.

JFK sought a stronger military, while Eisenhower constantly fought the Dems about that. They wanted defense spending in their States but not a stronger military.

JFK barely won his election against Nixon with 34,220,984 votes to Nixon's 34,108,157.

JFK sought more technology spending, but he had to get past the Dems that refused it in favor of social spending. He only won them over by tying the space race to the communist arms race.

You left out the most important JFK point

JFK was assassinated, and the Presidency reverted to an unabashed leftist Lyndon Johnson.

The Moon Shot - That was the biggest stimulus program that had real results. It was in effect one big technology industry incubator, with the results going well beyond the aerospace industry.
