I keep hearing claims that the Texas Republican party either has or is going to remove this guy and send one of the alternate electors instead. Supposedly there is a “faithfully fulfill your duties” provision that allows them to remove anybody who is unwilling or unable to fulfill their oath. But I can’t seem to find any “solid” confirmation one way or the other except for vague claims on twitter.

By declaring himself to the NYT, this dude is desperately trying to get some negative attention from Trump supporters, so he can then argue Trump is not “fit” to be President.

He notes the letter written by fifty globalist oriented Republicans stating that he would be a “dangerous president,” ignoring the fact that these were almost all Bush loyalists.
___

We’ve had enough experience with those who tried to bomb countries, not because they were a threat to us or real reliable allies (such as Israel, Poland and Taiwan), but because of an attempt to change the world. We’ve propped up dictators because they were the ‘right’ dictators and gave weapons to rebels that later used them against us

This is the 2nd elector from Texas to object. Art Sisneros of Dayton will be replaced when the Electors meet.

snip

A Texas Republican elector is resigning over the election of Donald Trump, saying he cannot
“in good conscience” vote for the incoming president.

The elector, Art Sisneros of Dayton, detailed his decision in a blog post Saturday that said he
believed voting for Trump “would bring dishonor to God.” On Dec. 19, when the remaining 537
members of the Electoral College are scheduled to meet in state capitols across the country,
the Texas delegation will choose Sisneros’ replacement in Austin.

I love how many of the same people complaining that Hillary should be president because she won the popular vote are urging electors to ignore the popular vote in their states.

This guy is a lying, double talking disgrace to the fire department and EMTs. He cannot be trusted, his word means nothing and his reputation is lower than the ocean floor. I hope Texans put so much pressure on him that he migrates to California or NY where he belongs.

So this guy fought fires at the Twin Towers? Beau Berghdal fought the Taliban before he went over to the enemy. Your past doesn’t mean you are a good guy now. Your actions are far more important. This so called fire fighter’s word is worthless and a man without his word has nothing.
