Does she not know that Trump assured Carrier that he'll reduce the regulatory climate and lower taxes across the board, which will help not only Carrier but all American businesses overall. How is this crony capitalism? As far as tax credits or subsidies are concerned, those came from the state of IN.
The point is, is that now's not the time to be engaging in this self-defeating crap. Trump already got his hands full by fighting off Hillary from stealing the election from him and walking on eggshells while Obola is still in the WH. Discuss this privately with Trump then if you disagree with it, but going public only divides Trump's support and now the leftist media has a talking point. Who knows, will Palin now do an interview on CNN or MSNBC bashing Trump?
I love Palin to death, bought both of her books, but this was truly a boneheaded move.
We should be glad that jobs are staying in this country. I do not understand her statements.
Didn’t she get a special deal from the oil companies, which made her a hero in Alaska?
Governor of Alaska (20062009)
Mayor of Wasilla (19962002)
Lots of experience going to waste.......
What she said was spot on.
She did not criticize Trump. The details of the conversation have not been released.
She said she hoped the deal would be for all companies (policy, law), and not just Carrier.
She’s right. I get the feeling that the Palin bashers here didn’t bother to read what she said.
Of course the MSM will spin it beyond recognition.
Not guilty!
Sarah seems to be announcing she doesn’t want a role in the Trump administration.
“As far as tax credits or subsidies are concerned, those came from the state of IN”
This is what I thought, If fact, then Trump gave them nothing and got nothing (personally) in return. And that’s not crony capitalism.
My understanding is he brokered a deal between the state of IN & the company. He was the go between. Trump’s specialty is to make deals that work.
My initial reaction is that she is right, but the quote I read said “IF” this happened... the media immediately reported it as she called it out as crony capitalism...
I myself, think he went into the meeting and pointed out that the move would not benefit them like it would have before and the same rules are going to apply to everybody, which would negate her “IF” disclaimer. Nothing particularly special... one article I read, sounded to me like the parent company might lose some future high dollar contracts if they proceeded... moving this relatively small subsidiary.
TRUMP SET OUT TO SHOWCASE AN EXAMPLE OF HIS PRO-AMERICAN BUSINESS POSTURE! Palin should understand that the SYMBOLISM AND OPTIMISM of Trump's deal outweighs all here.. Trump said it could be done, then 0dunga said Trump couldn't do it. Then.. BOOM! Trump did it! BOOM!
WINNING!
What were Palin’s comments??????????????????
.
Interesting resume. It appears, though, she does have slightly more experience that obama did before he ran for POTUS.
But that isn’t saying a lot is it?
I don’t disagree, in fact she is pretty much correct about government picking winners and losers with selective sticks/carrots. However I would have hoped she could have seen beyond the basics to see the big picture points Trump is making-
Because there is a lot more to the Carrier deal than just getting a business to keep some jobs here.
—>It was shoving it in Obama’s face after he ignorantly belittled Trump last June to the Indianapolis union guy.
—>It was showing the public “proof of concept”- jobs can come back.
—>It was reinforcing the “Dream Big” idea
—> proof Trump can make deals
I know you meant that as a serious comment, but it made me laugh harder than anything I've read here in quite a while because it was so true. We're a well-meaning bunch, but we're sometimes perfectionistic to our own detriment.

You'd think by now one of these guys might take a minute to click that link and read what Palin actually wrote but nooooo, they just keep bashing away and spouting off.
Thank you.
I like her in some ways, patriotism and attitude. But I’ve had to face up to it that she’s a dim bulb in some big ways.
I don't know, I don't think nearly enough "evidence" has been posted yet to make a determination (hint, hint).
It seems like something Trump could and needs to respond to. What did this company get, or was promised? And would it be the same for every American company? If that is good, then they both will be satisfied. It is true we don’t want any solyndras.
