You are absolutely correct. Had they be able to hold it until the last week, it would have made the difference.
Problem was DT not going to let happen. He controlled the news and made them move too early.

Yep. They had the phony “victims” of Trump’s supposed “sexual assaults” all lined up and ready to go, with Gloria Allred like she always does to Republican candidates here in CA. She brings them out the right before the last weekend of the campaign so there’s no time for the truth to come out.
