Full disclosure: when Trump first declared his candidacy, I dismissed it as a publicity stunt. Many of his current supporters probably thought the same. Trump did the necessary legwork of winning people over, as opposed to just sitting back and assuming he was entitled to our votes (i.e. the MO of Clintons and Bushes). Unlike them, he has respect and appreciation for his core of support because he had to earn it rather than having it handed to him by the party machine or by default.
If he can close that deal with voters, there's no telling what he can accomplish as a negotiator in foreign and domestic policy. I'm finally looking forward to 4 great political years and beyond.
Nice comment. Fully agree that Trump kind of grew on us.
Rather than being totally reliant on the media who were death opposed to his ideas, he knew that reaching out in this rallies was the only way to break through and show people who he really was.
Americans detected that was a smart man who also had a heart for the country and the working people made it what it is.
