There is no GOP.
Trump can form a new party if he wishes. Or someone else can push a Nationalist agenda and build a party for the future. But the Republicans are done.
Democrats too. It’s all going to be very different after this year.
In the future, I think this may be referred to as a Glorious Revolution like England had in 1688. Everything changes — but no blood is shed.
“There is no GOP.”
I agree. Do they all think we’re going to vote for some Jeb! or Romney-like dork four years from now if Trump loses?
NO WAY.
I don’t even want to vote for the GOP candidates that are already on the ballot. Clearly, either by design or silence, they’re part of the problem, not the solution.
Trump isn’t the only person on the planet with the balls to stand up and tell us the truth about what has happened (and what is happening) to our country. Our elected representatives should have been making this clear and screaming it from the rooftops. They haven’t been. So either they’re corrupt and in bed with the Democrats, or they’re ineffectual and cowardly. In any case, they’re worthless.
I think you're right. It's something that's been said many times, at least for the past few elections, but this time around I believe it's finally actually true. The labels will remain for now, but in effect, neither party will continue in its "old" form.
Glorious Revolution? Great characterization. I have to share that.
